05-06-08 Pink - What Are They? Thanks to rp.murdock over on Flickr who identified this for me as "English Hawthorn" or Crataegus laevigata 'Paul's Scarlet'. Surprisingly few pictures of this after Googling "English Hawthorn". I'll have to treasure it - and maybe take a cutting and get it growing in my own yard.
