August started with a visit from Cher & Paul and dinner up at Carol & Daves, with Debby & Wiley. Drank great wine, ate wonderful veggies from Carol's container garden with a fantastic tenderloin, peach galette and French potatoe salad from Cher.
And another feast - lobsters! on the 17th. A great month . . .

08-16-09 Kayak race from Baker Beach Sausalito
Steve, Kara and I took a walk from her house and ended up at Cavallo Point for lunch, then walked down to the beach and this race was just getting organized. Of course, being at the Presidio Yacht Club, we stopped in for a beer before heading back up to Kara's place. . .
