2001 Backyard Landscape

After removing the diseases pines in 2000, we needed a whole new idea as the yard was now not a shady woodland, but a bright and sunny space. After visiting the Anderson Japanese Garden in Rockford, Il, I decided a Japanese style garden would be perfect for this space. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) most of these didn't survive, and we ended up with a much differente space. But we've always loved how it turned out.
